Oluwatoyin Ajose, MD, FAAP
Dr. Ajose is an awesome pediatrician with a big heart who made Hawaii his home over ten years ago.
He attended Duke University in North Carolina, then went on to medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His love for pediatrics was crystallized in 1999 during a medical mission in Jamaica. Over the course of seven days his team treated hundreds of children, played with them in the courtyard during lunch breaks, and connected with mothers and fathers, teaching them how to manage basic medical problems. It was the hardest, but most joyful and fulfilling experience of his life (He even met the woman who would eventually become his wife)!
Dr. Ajose has a wealth of pediatric experience on the Hawaiian islands, having worked clinics on Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island. He has also worked as a pediatric hospitalist at Maui Memorial, Hilo Medical Center, Kona Community Hospital and Kapiolani Hospital for women and children.
He is the proud father of wildly energetic, four-year-old twin boys who somehow manage to age him and keep him young at the same time. Outside of practicing pediatrics, Dr. Ajose enjoys writing, listening to audiobooks, riding roller coasters, and training jujitsu.
Pediatric SuperPower- Despite his considerable stature, Dr. Ajose is a giant teddy bear who calms children and babies with a soothing voice and marvelous smile. He also has a near encyclopedic knowledge of all things Disney. Seriously...challenge him in this jeopardy category and you will
lose…badly.
